Northeast Minneapolis is the City's Arts District. We must ensure opportunity for all people to have access to the Arts and work for a vibrant, diverse, and economically healthy Arts District. As your City Council Member, Kevin has and will continue to:
- Work to direct City funds (Percent-for-Art) for art in public places to the NE Minneapolis Arts District
- Treat artists not only as creative individuals, but also as professionals and assist artists as small businesses
- Help develop affordable creative spaces for artists and the Arts
- Partner with and address the ongoing needs of Arts organizations and artists
- Support a neighborhood-based creative economy - ensuring all residents are integrated with the regional economy and civic society -and build upon the foundation of our creative sector workforce development strategy.
